The standard work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm during the Academic Year.

7:00am - 6:00pm during the Summer Months

This position offers remote work allowing employees a combination of onsite and work from home options. The expected remote work schedule for this position will be based upon the needs of the department.

Job Summary

Works in a fast-paced environment managing the hiring and staffing of adjunct faculty in the Addictions and Substance Use Disorders, Applied Technology, Communication, Early Childhood Education, Educator Preparation Programs, Library Science, STEM, and GED Test Preparation programs. Works with Residential Faculty and a system of college departments to meet enrollment needs for all course modalities while maintaining adjunct teaching load limits and part-time work hours. Evaluates credentials for adjunct faculty in Educational Service Partnerships (ESP), Dual Enrollment (DE) and academic programs. Staffs courses for year-round weekly start dates using Student Information Systems (SIS).

Essential Functions

20% - Works directly with Faculty Chairs and Program Directors to oversee the complete onboarding (recruitment, screening and interviewing) of adjunct faculty candidates, completes onboarding process for non-credit instructors for various RSC locations

20% - Monitors daily course enrollment for various academic programs and adjunct faculty teaching load

20% - Uses SIS to staff courses for 40+ weekly start dates throughout the year

20% - Partners with Dual Enrollment and Education Services Partnership to evaluates and documents credentials for instructors to ensure compliance of District and Higher Learning Commission teaching requirements; updates and maintains FIS database to accurately capture all adjunct faculty and non-credit instructor qualifications; maintains physical file

20% - Uses various modules of HCM to complete onboarding and offboarding processes for adjunct faculty and non-credit instructors, process additional pay requests, run queries, maintain accurate data, position management, among other tasks

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and two years of related program management experience preferably in an educational setting.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using different functionalities of SIS and HCM
  • Familiarity with MCCCD hiring practices and policy manuals
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and/or deadlines

Special Working Conditions

May be required to work evenings and weekends. May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor.
